Your blog is where people see you and get to know you online, as quickly and easily as meeting you in your place of business and having a conversation.

You can set up your blog to allow other people to comment or not. That is your choice. My business clients find that by not allowing comments they control the content of their blog as well as keep the focus on their business.

If you choose to allow comments on your blog you have the ability to control which comments are published to the blog and which are deleted.

That process is called moderation, and it requires the attention of a moderator to screen the comments. You can moderate the comments yourself or delegate that job to me.

HAVE NO FEAR OF WRITING AT ALL

The most important thing to remember when you sit down to write anything is to simply write the way you talk. I encourage people to use a tape recorder if necessary. But usually you can just "play the tape in your head" and write what you're hearing.

Don't worry about proper spelling or punctuation. Don't worry about sounding stupid. Just write what would say and then sit back and look at it after you get everything down on paper. That's the time to edit or rearrange words if necessary. But most of the time what you said was exactly what you meant and all you need to do is use spell check or an old-fashioned dictionary (remember those?) and make sure your spelling is correct so that you look and sound smart. Poor spelling does not look smart.

Go ahead... try it! And give me a call if you need some help because I'm good at writing the way I talk. And I've learned to write the way other people talk, too. That's the way I write in order to sound like my clients. Ask 'em... they'll tell you it works for them!
